Great Cuban food. Used to be just a Vietnamese spot, but now it's both. Super friendly, and great flavour. Reasonable prices. No more than $13-14 for lunch.

Wow, not much love as of late June 2016. I had lunch here today with work colleagues and it was not bad at all. As I understand it, this was once a Vietnamese restaurant that was bought by a Cuban family (so the legend goes) and thus they kept the Vietnamese dishes to keep the customers. Who knows. Anyway, I've been to Cuba and the food is great. This place has a hint (at least) of the flavour. More would be great. The rice with black beans is amazing. I had the Cuban stew, which I loved. Others at my table were satisfied plus with their dishes. I think there is potential here. The service was fine. Only one young lady rushing between tables, which meant one friend waited for her dish while the guy behind us got his water and a menu. Who cares. I love Vietnamese food and would not order it here now that I've been, but hey, the only Cuban food place on Yelp for all of Edmonton. Give it a try.

Wow what a terrible experience. I wasn't expecting much, as I saw pictures of the restaurant, but wow. The place is a dump. I thought 'oh well as long as the food is good'. It wasn't. It's a fusion of mostly Vietnamese with a few Cuban dishes thrown in. My fiancé and I both had Cuban. Now I know Cuban food is known to be bland, but I have had authentic meals in Cuba, and they were tasty! The food here tasted like cardboard. The pop was flat and watered down. We may have been served by the owner and she wasn't very pleasant. I hope she wasn't the owner cause she was down right unfriendly. I don't think she likes people? We were the only people in the restaurant and not once did she ask how everything was. She never offered refills, she only cared about sitting at another table to watch tv. Pretty unprofessional if you ask me. I was looking forward to trying out this place but it turned out to be such a let down. Save your money and time. This place is not worth it. If I could give ZERO stars, I would.
