After our wine tastings at Mission Hill and Quails' Gate, lunch was in order. The restaurant chosen by the group was The Broken Anchor (formerly The Table Café), a gluten-free fish and chips place. I don't like fish and chips, as I do not like anything breaded or battered (so yes, I hate fried chicken), but there were plenty of items for me to order. Everyone loved their food, and I liked the clam chowder* and Caesar salad with grilled salmon that I ordered. (One complaint though -- I was stuffed!) The restaurant was deemed a winner by the group, and despite not liking fish and chips (which is not a reflection on the quality of the food), I'm rating it four stars -- the extra star being for having gluten-free options. *They offer both the red, Manhattan clam chowder and the white, New England clam chowder. Overpriced for how much you get and the quality of it. Won't be back unfortunately. Fish was fresh but portions are ridiculously small and insulting for the price you are paying. I paid $18 for the tacos and only got 2 really bland and small. I expected so much more from this place.

Not impressed. I ordered two pieces of Halibut and fries. The pieces of Halibut were very small and the fries weren't very good, overdone. $25.90 was a hefty price for 2 small pieces of halibut. Disappointed to say the least. I won't be returning.
