A very pleasant stay! The rooms were clean with great views of the slopes. The service at the hotel was overall friendly. Particularly worth mentioning was the pleasant service in the restaurant, Alexandra. A very friendly lady. Great praise also goes to the kitchen staff for the excellently prepared dishes. The breakfast and dinner were really very good. We also enjoyed wonderful snacks in the Latschenalm, where the staff were also very friendly. The spa area was nicely designed, although the steam room didn't seem to be finished yet. The only point of criticism were guests who reserved loungers in the spa area but were not there. Overall, a successful stay and recommended! Gladly again :) Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Kid-friendly
We spent a week at Hotel Cinderella. We have been traveling to Obertauern for 30 years, often to the Gruber family's hotels. 1995 for the first time. For the last 15 years we have mostly stayed at the Snowwhite because we like the location there better (you can easily get back to the hotel from almost anywhere in the ski area). This year we thought we would go to Cinderella again because we wanted to stay in a "better" hotel. Some of the family booked the Snowwhite at the same time. We booked in the 4-star superior area as we loved the old decor. The modern one with pink doesn't really appeal to us. We the traditional Alpine style. We booked through the website. We booked a room "without a view" because we hardly ever stay in the room except to sleep. Therefore the view was not important. There was also a note that the rooms were located "above our a la carte restaurant Latschn Alm". We received a great welcome on the day of arrival, everything was perfect. Dinner was great. But then we came back to the room and we heard loud music in the hallway. After half an hour I went to find where the noise was coming from. She came from the “a la carte restaurant Latschnalm”. The music was extremely loud. The bass really shook you. You couldn't even relax and read a book, and even with earplugs you couldn't even think about sleeping. Since we are absolutely not people who like to complain, we waited longingly and completely exhausted for 11 p.m. However, it didn't end at 11 p.m. and it didn't get quieter either. When there was still no end in sight at half past 12, I complained to reception. First I tried calling everywhere, but neither the bar nor the reception answered my calls. So from your pajamas back into street clothes and through the labyrinth-like hotel to the reception. I was initially told that when we made the reservation we had accepted that it could get louder. This is absolutely wrong. I also checked everywhere afterwards. Nowhere does it say anything about noise, music, or that it can get louder. Since we work in the construction industry, we have a tried and tested sound level meter on our cell phone. It was 73 decibels in our room. That's not "it can get louder", that's harmful noise. We were then given another room to move to in the middle of the night. The bar waiter told me that the party goes until the early hours of the morning. We finally got to our room at 1 a.m. Renting out these rooms when there is a party next door is an absolute disgrace. We were about to leave at night. We had to change rooms very often. We had 4 different rooms in 7 days. That doesn't exactly help with relaxation. Otherwise, the hotel has unfortunately deteriorated compared to before, but is still a good hotel with excellent food. The waitress Alexandra was brilliant. Points of criticism: - a lot of dirty dishes at the buffet (glasses, plates) - Sandy salad - ski locker much too small. 2 pairs of snowboard boots + 2 snowboards don't go in. When you snowboard and ski, you can't even fit all your shoes. There is no other way to put the things there either. - very tight in the ski cellar, even if the hotel is only partially full. - The path to the slopes is significantly longer than before the renovation - Steam bath in the old part smells musty and you can see mold. - Steam bath in the new part was way too hot. You get burned by the water vapor. - Prices at dinner are absolutely outrageous. 7.50 euros for juice spritzer and 5.50 euros for tap water, which is free in the Snowwhite. - Hot tub could be warmer. - the waffle iron wasn't cleaned inside once in the entire time. Full of burnt leftovers. - Breakfast desirable from 7:30 a.m. (snowwhite) - Hotel becomes a labyrinth through extension. Signage urgently needs to be improved (no one can find their way out in an emergency). (End there character limit..) Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5
