Ciao Pizzeria is located on the seafront in Bar and offers both indoor and outdoor dining. During our visit there were many guests present and the restaurant seemed to be popular with both locals and visitors. It took a few minutes before we were seen when we arrived at the restaurant and another few minutes before the menu was presented. The menu was inspired by Italian cuisine and had a good selection of salads, soups, pizza and pasta. We chose to order spaghetti carbonara and the employee quickly took the order when we were ready for this. The food was served approx. 35 minutes later, which was perceived as too long in relation to the type of place. The dish had a somewhat boring presentation and no bread or extra parmesan was served alongside the dish. The spaghetti was cooked "al dente" and had a nice consistency, which also applied to the cheese sauce. The ham used was smoked and gave the dish an unpleasant taste. There was some cartilage in the ham which also helped to reduce the overall impression. Ciao Pizzeria had a pleasant atmosphere and a great view of the beach and promenade. The food appeared to be homemade and of good quality. However, I missed the last little extra in the form of bread and a bowl of parmesan cheese for the pasta. The service was also average and the waiting time for the food was too long. Based on this, I cannot recommend the restaurant.
