A very Hong Kong style cafe now in Toronto! Their curry dishes are very delicious. Their curry has layers of taste with different spices and aroma that it is special that is not easy to replicate at home. I read there are many comments about some dishes e.g. satay beef noodles not being good enough. I can tell they are not an all rounded restaurant but I believe most of the dishes are above average and some of their specialty ones have great taste that match your tongue and expectations. Fast, authentic and reasonably priced for HK cafes. Wait times are short because of quick take turnover so put your details down on their tablet and they will text you once available. The sandwiches, toast and noodle soups are just right. They even have the Kaya toast here! (Coconut pandan jam) The hk milk tea has great floral notes but the ones at marathon cafe are stronger and more flavorful. The pineapple butter bun is a bit soft for my liking and would suggest either Marathon Cafe or Cha Kee if you prefer the 5mm slab of cold butter in the bun. Here it is smeared inside the bun and melted. Here at Chrisly cafe has more variety of snacks and he milk tea & Lemon tea both are very HK, but prices are much fair. The service was expectedly quick and we were amazed when the first snack order came right under a min after order placed. I guess that makes their turn over faster than others. The curry fish ball tastes so HK and love their signature la ja noodles. Just don't miss these when you go.
