I wandered into Chinacy on a whim and it instantly felt like a tiny, culinary gem in the heart of Vienna. The space is snug yet stylish, with an energy that’s both intimate and vibrant. From the moment I took my first bite, I knew I was in for something special. The xiao long bao, their legendary soup dumplings, were an absolute standout, masterfully executed with just the right amount of juice inside and delicate, pillowy wrappers. It wasn’t the easiest dumpling to track down in Vienna, but Chinacy nailed it. I also couldn’t resist sampling a few small plates tap-by-tap: tender popcorn chicken with a surprising twist of wasabi mayo that sparked just enough zing, and some dim sum and bao options that hit the balance of authentic flavor with playful creativity. What elevates the experience even more is the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and perfectly matched that sense of effortless hospitality I look for. The whole meal felt relaxed but refined.
