Chefs has had the economical idea of offering only three dishes - no menu, the dishes are displayed pictorially on a small screen that the waiter brings to the table. The depictions are not very clear, so it is difficult to see what you are ordering. There are no starters, no salads, just three main courses, followed by the brave by I know not how many puddings. I asked if any of the dishes were served with salad. Yes, I was told, there was a pasta dish they was accompanied by a salad of lettuce, asparagus and beans. May I have that without the pasta? No, you have to have them together. That was what I ordered. The dishes were served on trays as in economy class on aircraft: little dishes of unidentifiable this and that, each in its own little bowl, except for the butter to be found melting on a piece of tissue paper. The salad of lettuce, asparagus and beans turned out to be lettuce with about four beans and the same number of asparagus so thin as to be difficult to distinguish from the beans. As for the tortellini, they swam in a well-made tomato soup. I know about al dente, but I also know about uncooked, the tortellini were a combination of both.
Escaping into the relative quiet of a trafficky street after the meal was a great relief.
