The establishment evoked mixed feelings. The dishes are super awesome, really liked the chowder soup, it had enough crab, salmon and caviar. The two peeled cherry tomatoes were cool and juicy, the creamy soup itself was room temperature and played up the ingredients perfectly. The salmon was a bit too salty for my personal taste, but the texture was great. A toast (or rather a piece of toasted bread) with cheese, which is also served with soup, is completely useless, even superfluous - it looks poor and tastes the same. Also, the scallops were very worthy, not overexposed, tender, almost disassembled into fibers. The sauce didn't overpower their own subtle taste. Prosecco was served at the ideal temperature in a chilled glass - this is my personal fad, for which respect. But unfortunately, the restaurant is not only about delicious food. What confuses me is that the tables are too close together. I understand why this is motivated, but such McDonald's-level receptions - so that guests do not linger - do not at all fit in with the notion of an "elegant restaurant", as the site says. Set a better time limit. People still communicate, sharing a meal with each other, on personal topics. I, like many other people, do not want to become an involuntary listener of other people's stories, and even more so I do not want someone to hear every word that I or my interlocutor will say. In such an atmosphere it is hard to relax and enjoy the moment. But the music plays very pleasant and unobtrusive. Another moment that slightly spoiled the impression of Charlie is midges in the hall. Inside the institution there is a fairly large number of living plants - in pots on the windowsills and on the tables in small vases, apparently this is the case. They interfere, flying near the face, crawling along the instruments. My husband couldn't finish his beer because a midge fell right into the glass. By the way, there is no beer on the menu, but it was offered to us and served in a glass of red wine. With a long thin leg. Full glass of beer. It's unsafe and ugly. The devices, which, by the way, are all scratched and seem to have outlived their usefulness, are placed directly on the table, but on a disposable drawing paper. Perhaps there is such a concept, but it is incomprehensible to me. Other than that the staff are all very friendly and the location is good. The food is 9/10, very good, but I'm not sure I would go there again, mostly because of the arrangement of the tables. If they stood as close, but at least "back to back" would be more comfortable.
