Excellent restaurant je dirais même le meilleur italien que j’ai jamais manger de ma vie. La nourriture est fraiche, un goût qui vous fait vraiment rappeler l’italie. La foccacia était incroyable, les pizza également, les pates cacio e pepe très bon aussi. Le tiramisu était excellent le meilleurs que j’ai pu gouté , vraiment un tres bon restaurant je conseille fortement ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €40–50

My partner and I visited Cecconi’s Amsterdam during our birthday trip and were really looking forward to dinner here. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment from start to finish. We were shown to a table with two armchairs, but the seating was completely impractical. My husband is over 6ft and could barely fit under the table, while I felt like I was sitting on the floor. I understand there’s a lounge-style seating area, but it feels like you’re just thrown into the bar. It’s impossible to eat comfortably — you can’t use cutlery properly without elbows awkwardly raised due to the low tables and oversized chairs. To make matters worse, my chair was positioned on a corner and was knocked repeatedly by staff passing by — at least 20 times throughout the meal. Drinks, food, people brushing past constantly. Not once did anyone apologise or even acknowledge they had hit my chair, which became increasingly frustrating. Ordering food was another mess. Our waiter was friendly but inattentive. We ordered two starters and two pizzas. Shortly after, a waiter dropped off two tiny pieces of focaccia “on the house” — barely more than a mouthful. Then we waited around 30 minutes for our starters, which never arrived. Instead, our pizzas suddenly appeared with no explanation. To top it off, a waitress wandered past us looking confused, asking where the pizzas were meant to go — isn’t this information on the ticket in the kitchen? The food itself was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the hype or price. After finishing, we asked for the bill, only for another waitress to place dessert menus on our table instead. The atmosphere was lively, but so loud we couldn’t hear each other speak, which completely ruined the experience. For a place with such a reputation, this was chaotic, uncomfortable, and poorly managed. A very disappointing experience and not somewhere we would ever return to.
