Hands down a hidden gem worth the drive. I mean if I could I would come here every day. The freshness of the focaccia, the pizza are on point. Ordered a potato, rosemary sausage pizza and probably one of the best combinations. What can I say about the sweets , boy are they delicious. Had Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and it was divine. Guilty and good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Tiramisu, Margherita Pizza, Pizza Slices

We just recently discovered Castelli Mercato and it’s really hard to stay away. We’ve been back many times and everyone we’ve recommended it to love it too. Everything we’ve tried so far is amazing. The NYC style pizza is legit. The brown butter chocolate chip cookies are some of the best we’ve ever had. The Italian sandwiches are next level. Give it a try. Tough one to review, I’m averaging out 7 visits across 6 months. The food is clearly well thought out. I have tried nearly all the baked goods and they are the most consistent part and very well made confections. The pizza is a bit more tricky, I have found the pizza to wide ranging in consistency. It’s very delicious when it’s on. But as many times as it’s been good it has been over cooked and far too crusty. Often the dipping sauces aren’t available. The customer service is disjointed. I often found myself waiting for long periods of time without a hello or abruptly told to lineup somewhere else. I often see staff moving from position to position during busy times creating confusion over who is filling an order or I have had the owner/gm take over mid order and bump the staff helping me. Even more frustrating, nearly every time I check out there the cashier is interrupted mid checkout by someone and they are distracted and disrupt the transaction. Lots of work to be done here, but plenty of potential. Understandably, the growth has been quick and it’s clear the restaurant is struggling to keep up. Give it a shot, but keep the above in mind. It’s worth the change, just don’t be surprised if it misses. December 2024 Update: still the same as I mentioned before. See pictures attached about how large the crust is on the NY Pizza.
