Had the oyster mushroom tacos and was shocked at how tiny the portion was. Half a spoonful of salsa and three strips of fried mushroom. Salsa tasted of almost nothing, tortilla wasn't fried and everything was cold. Absolutely overpriced. Atmospheric but great. And you can't complain about the service either. Cafe Caspar replaced a student cafeteria, is still very popular with students, who it also caters to - and for good reason. Lunch for 5.50 (to 7.50) is a good price for the quality one gets.
They had to switch around what they offer and have now ended on 4 different options per week for lunch. Quality differs a bit but is generally good to great (Asian food is not necessarily a strength, vegetarian tends to be with cheese, and too much of that, but curries and Austrian food is good to great).
Atmosphere is, well, eclectic and student-focused. Lunch rush gets mighty busy but things tend to work out of one just brings a little time and flexibility.
Very nice for just sitting and relaxing, chatting with a coffee or a Fritz-Cola or Fentiman's drink :-)
