Some of the negative reviews here have prompted me to briefly write something about Caffe a Casa - first of all, I have nothing to do with the people or the business there, I'm just a customer who comes by there every now and then. I think there is some kind of "misunderstanding" regarding this shop/roastery, or certain expectations that you don't want to meet there. In my opinion, this is not a coffee house in the classic sense, but a roastery that also serves coffee variations, primarily to-go, although you can also sit there and it is also very nice in the Servitenviertel is when the weather is right. Essentially, this is a shop where you buy coffee beans for your machine at home. Therefore there is no toilet and no service or food to speak of. Maybe the shop operators should emphasize this more so as not to cause disappointment. This may turn some people off, and that's how it should be, everyone can see it however they want - but I just want to say that you shouldn't let these reviews dissuade you if you're purely interested in good coffee! The coffee-to-go (I usually take a latte macchiato) is, without exaggeration, the best thing I have found in all of Vienna. Everything is just right, that's exactly how coffee should taste to me. Round, pleasant, perfect milk foam, no excessive acidity, no bitter substances, no puckering of the mouth, no strange aftertaste - simply a successful coffee that I cannot manage myself despite 20 years of experience as a hobby barista (also, but not only, because of that equipment...). And the beans are outstanding too. There are a number of varieties and mixtures and not all of them will be for everyone, but I like the two Brazil varieties extremely well. I know a few roasters in Vienna and also in Germany and have ordered beans from everywhere, but since I found this shop the search is over. It's almost embarrassing for me to write such a jubilant review, and I wouldn't believe it myself and would consider it a courtesy report - but that's actually not it. A few days ago I discovered a branch on Obkirchergasse that apparently just opened there. Which suits me very well since I actually live in the 19th.
