Polite and friendly staff, excellent cuisine as well as an excellent place to meet up with friends or work colleagues. It is a place that I recommend starting from a simple breakfast and ending with dinner. It really offers everything and for everyone. I will definitely be back very soon! I've known Cafe Mattei since before Covid.. it was a place that I was happy to stop in for an aperitif, a great buffet at an excellent price.. now unfortunately I have to say that after tonight I won't set foot there again... already in August I had been there 2 times and I noticed the strong difference, the lack of the buffet... but that could be okay... given the current times... then we had to say about a cocktail which in my opinion was not made as it should have been made... but the bartender claimed to he was right and I wasn't satisfied with anything.. and that's fine.. he's the bartender.. I'm just the customer.. I was a bit upset and I told myself that the next time (if there had been) I would have gone for the classic spritz.. tonight we stopped for an aperitif, being on the safe side.. and spritz apart from that it was more water and ice than anything else.. we noticed that the buffet had changed significantly, much less choice.. and oh well.. never mind.. but when I went to the checkout I was definitely amazed at how much the price of the buffet had significantly increased... 6 euro increase per person in the buffet... from 8 euros in August 2023 to 14 euros... so now for a spritz and the buffet 21 euros.. well! But at the same time, I believe that there is no place that with 14 euros can give you the possibility of unlimited access to the buffet which includes appetizers, vegetables, first and second courses.
