I recently got a coffee to go there with a friend. The taste was good, but the price was a bit high (around 5 euros for a cinnamon latte). Definitely a point deduction for the arrogant-looking hipster employees at the counter. I don't understand how you can't be pleasantly friendly in an area where you rely on customers. Don't worry: a smile doesn't make you any less cool - on the contrary. Before I had even set foot in the café, a snarled “Are you coming for breakfast??” came from the side (I thought he might be a neighbor of the house). Actually a really nice cafe. But since you are asked directly whether you would also consume food and not “just” coffee, there is a strange atmosphere. You are only allowed to sit down if you order food. It's a shame, because it totally ruins the atmosphere and takes away the lightness of a café. A café that clearly focuses on breakfast. The breads I have tried so far are very tasty. The coffee is okay, but a bit too boring for me personally. Attention: This shouldn't be a defect, after all, specialty coffee isn't advertised. Picking on the “you have to eat something at peak times” rule seems unnecessary to me. Either you accept it or you go somewhere else. However, I find it a bit stressful that the main times are not clearly defined. I often decide against a quick coffee at Schöllers because I don't feel like discussing whether I'm allowed to do that or not. I've noticed several times that despite rainy days with few customers, there is a certain pressure to finish. If my companion and I each order a loaf of bread and two coffees and there's nothing else going on, we shouldn't get dirty looks just because we chatted for 5 minutes longer. All in all, a mixed picture: with some money in your wallet and hungry, but passable.
