Five stars isn’t enough for Café Paula! Nestled in the heart of Ribeauvillé, this charming little café was an absolute gem during our visit to Alsace. From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with lovely touches of Alsatian charm and a laid-back, local vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. We stopped in for a late morning coffee and ended up lingering much longer than planned. The coffee was rich and perfectly brewed—clearly made with care. My wife had a slice of homemade tart that was out of this world, and I tried the quiche, which was flavorful, fresh, and served with a small side salad that was just right. Everything felt thoughtful and authentic. What really sets Café Paula apart is the service. Paula herself (yes, she’s real!) is warm, funny, and makes you feel like a welcome guest in her own home. She took the time to chat with us, gave us tips about the town, and even taught us how to pronounce Ribeauvillé correctly! If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop here.
