Discriminatory behaviour after we tried 1 sample. The sales lady said in German “these tourists come and only grab samples” even though I immediately picked a bag to buy after trying it. She shouldn’t have opened a shop here if she didn’t want tourists or put out samples for people to try. And she also just assumed we didn’t speak German, even though we live in Switzerland. Definitely racist person, watch out for this women 50+ lady very rude and unwelcoming. I ended up buying the sweets but regretted it after Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Very good food - Sunday brunch. Personally, we were missing the braid that we thought was part of it. Otherwise everything is from the region and homemade. Service with Appenzell charm. Furnishings are already showing their age and could do with a refresh. We were satisfied and the price performance was right. Kid-friendliness: Had toys and children's books on site. No changing facilities, but we were able to change on the table in an adjoining room. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: CHF 30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Simply a nightmare! This was the worst cafe experience I have ever had. The boss of this cafe is incredibly rude, rude and completely unprofessional. He was extremely rude and even laughed at his own employees. We bought a bun with jam that smelled strongly of disinfectant - just disgusting and completely unacceptable! Customer service is non-existent here and the atmosphere is ice cold. I would highly recommend everyone to avoid this cafe. There are so many better places where people know how to treat you with respect and kindness. It's best to stay away from this place! Price per person: CHF 10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
