It was 3:30pm when we arrived At the restaurant. We thought there should be no waiting at this time, but we were totally wrong! Had to wait for about half an hour, but worth the wait! Nothing fancy but delicious Korean dishes! Just make sure don't come on a real hot day No AC, fans only.

Came here for lunch today and had the soft tofu soup with rice. This place is Korean for sure because their menu on the wall has no English and their level 2 spicy was really spicy! The soft tofu soup tasted really authentic with a lingering spice, plenty of soft tofu and quite a few pieces of clams, a prawn and some small assorted seafood. Everyone that I came with seemed to enjoy their meal and the side dishes included pickled onions, radish and fish cakes. Overall, although the menu is small, they have rarer Korean dishes and the soup/rice favourites as well.

My soondae soup was delicious and the seafood pancake was one of the best I ever had. The little free dishes were also really tasty. Why the few stars? My friend is allergic to garlic so we asked for one of the dishes to be cooked without garlic. The chef flat out refused because he said it wouldn't taste good so he wouldn't serve it. Ok fine, can we get just a fried egg with boiled bean sprouts and a bowl of white rice, while I ate some of their dishes? The chef again said no. So I asked for my soondae soup to go and again, the chef said no. I asked why and it was translated to me that the blood sausage wouldn't be as good so he refused to let me take it to go. I think it's one thing when you warn someone it won't be as tasty, but shouldn't it be up to me to decide whether or not I care? As long as I've been warned, it's my decision, isn't it? My client said this had the best soondae in the area which is a huge compliment because there's over a dozen Korean restaurants within a 3 block radius. The service and the arrogance was really disappointing. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because some of the food was good.
