It took almost half an hour until we were served our first drink. The meal also took quite a long time. The paella was hot, everything else was lukewarm at most. All in all, no reason for me to come back again. Yesterday we had the pleasure of spending a wonderful evening at Buena Vida in Essen and it was simply an unforgettable experience. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table right by the fireplace - a perfect choice for a cozy evening. The cozy warmth of the fireplace and the quiet crackling of the fire created a cozy atmosphere that made us immediately relax. The ambience was really atmospheric. The combination of the modern, stylish interior and the rustic coziness of the fireplace created a unique atmosphere that made us feel like we were in a luxurious retreat. It was just the thing to leave the stress of everyday life behind and concentrate fully on the delicious food and company. The meal itself was an absolute highlight of the evening. Every dish we ordered was superbly prepared and full of flavors. Particularly noteworthy is the quality of the ingredients, the freshness was noticeable in every bite. The kitchen has managed to offer a real experience both visually and taste-wise. Be it a starter, main course or dessert – everything was just perfect. The staff was also a dream. Friendly, professional and attentive without being intrusive. You could feel that people are working here with heart. They made us feel like welcome guests and accommodated our every need. What was particularly great was that they took the time to give us recommendations and ensure that our evening by the fireplace was as enjoyable as possible. The service was also excellent - everything ran smoothly and we never had to wait long, even though the restaurant was busy. It was the perfect mix of attentiveness and restraint, allowing us to enjoy our evening to the fullest. Overall, our evening at Buena Vida was an absolute highlight. The cozy atmosphere by the fireplace, the first-class food and the fantastic service completely convinced us. We look forward to coming back soon!
