Arrived hungry, left disappointed is the summarry of the first (and last) visit.
Ordered pasulj and ričet (barley stew). Both dishes have been over-spiced and I imagine they've used chilli for some unknown reason as that has never been used in original Slovenian recipes!
I have received about two small sausage pieces and less than a full spoon of meat. We got 4 small pieces of (nice homemade) bread to share between 3 people. Bread is an important part of Slovenian heritage and we would expect to receive 3 times as much (to ensure there is plenty for everyone).
Feeling incredibly hungry, I've eaten the beans and dived in to find the bits of sausage and meat. I sincerely regret my decision now as my stomach is upset and wish we'd gone to McDonald's instead. Haven't been there in years and at least we'd get what we paid for!
Today I have learned it's possible to cook an awful pasulj, which shocked me as it's definitely one of the easiest dishes one can make!

Naročili dvakrat pasulj in enkrat ričet. Obe jedi preveč začinjeni, domnevam, da dodajajo feferone? Iz kakšnega razloga, ne vem, ker v originalni slovenski kuhi jih ni.
V moji posodici kaka dva kolobarja klobase in mogoče za slabo jušno žlico mesa. Za prilogo smo 3 osebe dobile 4 male kose (sicer okusnega) kruha. Kruh je pomemben del naše dediščine in pričakovali bi, da ga dobimo trikrat toliko, da je dovolj za vse.
Lakota me je prepričala, da sem pojedla, kar je bilo fižola in izbrskala kolobarčke klobase in mini koščke mesa. Iskreno obžalujem svojo odločitev, težko mi je obležalo v želodcu in mi je žal, da nismo raje zavili v McDonald's po dolgih letih.
Danes sem se naučila, da je možno narediti zanič pasulj, neverjetno spoznanje, glede na to, da je to ena bolj enostavnih domačih jedi!
