I ordered spaghetti bolognese and a side of meatballs.
It come with a salad and bread.
There wasn't one of the items that wasn't a disgusting joke.
I went in and there's a big guy behind a bar watching football and betting with a drunk guy at the bar, and there was a few other obvious regulars sitting on bar stools half in the bag.
I had called a half hour before and it wasn't ready.
First I opened the salad.
It was some chunks of iceberg lettuce, pale, from the heart of the lettuce, brown on the edges, about three small leaves that looked like they might be spinach, a quarter of a small slice of a tomato and about 7 or 8 thin strips of carrot.
I threw it out.
Next, I opened the container with the spaghetti bolognese.
It came out of the container in a solid rectangular block the same shape of the container.
The spaghetti was under cooked and dry, it was topped by some very dry chunks of red colored hamburger, no sauce whatsoever anywhere in there, and it tasted acidic and almost vinegar like.
I opened the container with the meatballs.
There were two of a somewhat acceptable size that were also dry but they poured a very small amount of a tomato kinda sauce in the container with them.
I poured the sauce on the spaghetti but it did no good.
I was so hungry, and they had charged me $20, I ate what I could but couldn't finish it.
My dog had a sniff and walked away from what was left and wouldn't touch it.
I love Italian food and have had some of the best you can find and I make some pretty good Italian food myself which people enjoy.
I have had some good food at restaurants and for take out, and I have had some not so good food.
I am 52 years old, and what I got from Bronzies Place is the worst Italian food, the worst spaghetti and bolognese sauce I have ever had.
Borderline inedible.
If I wasn't so hungry with no real other option of dinner late in the evening, I would not have ate it. I would have thrown the whole lot in the garbage.
Disgusting.
It's not an Italian restaurant. It's not a restaurant, period.
It's a bar.
A hole in the wall. A drinking hole.
I have every confidence that all the food out of there will be exactly the same quality, and that has been confirmed by other reviews I have read.
I feel totally ripped off.
