Accueil très chaleureux mais trop familier et bruyant. Excellente cuisine mais très cher ( 1 steak 38€.... ) Décor accueillant. Qualité/ prix néanmoins cohérent.

Ah, the Brasserie Regina in Westende! It's the kind of place where you would think that if you had a Flemish grandmother, she would take you here on Sundays. But here it's as if your grandmother suddenly became a five-star chef and hired a team of waiters straight out of a romantic comedy. From the moment you enter, you immediately feel that this is *the place to be*. Reservations are essential on Saturdays, but if you forget like us (or if you like a challenge), don't worry! The waiters have a kind of built-in radar for hungry souls. Despite a crowded terrace, our waiter, with a smile as if he had just won the Lotto, still found a table for us somewhere. Maybe they have a secret stash of tables and chairs just for situations like this. And the food How can I put it? It's as if every dish was made by someone who made a pact with the devil to make everything delicious. Every bite makes you almost spontaneously throw your hands in the air and say “Thank you, Regina!” shout. It's one of those meals that you secretly take a photo of to put on Instagram with ridiculous hashtags like #Smulparty or #IkBenNetInDeHemmelen. And yes, let's be honest, the prices are not for the budget seekers. But hey, if the food is this good, then the prices are just an optional afterthought, right? You may pay a little more, but you will get an experience in return that your taste buds will be eternally grateful to you for. And ultimately it is the quality of the dishes that ensures that you pull out your bank card with a broad smile. The waiters are so friendly that you almost feel like inviting them to your next barbecue. They talk to you like you're a regular, even if it's your first visit, and they have a knack for making your evening even more enjoyable. By the time you leave the brasserie, it feels like you've said goodbye to old friends. In short, if you pass through Westende and you don't stop at the Brasserie Regina, then you have really missed something. Make a reservation, give it a try, but make sure you don't miss this place. Regina is a bit like a box of Belgian chocolates: pure indulgence, a delicious surprise, and you can never get enough of it!
