Service is not the best here but the food is so good. The broths are very flavourful and there are lots of toppings inside. Highly recommend upgrading your rice to the scallion gravy rice, it really elevates the experience ! Their drinks are very yummy too! Also a tip: if your pot is getting too hot, you can ask to turn the fire off, and they offer a birthday discount :). This place is our happy place! Thanks Boiling Point! Update after 7 month: I used to love this restaurant and have dined at multiple locations. My regular orders were the beef hot pot and tangy beef. Unfortunately, over the last few visits, the quality of the beef has noticeably declined. The meat tastes off and is overly fatty, which strongly suggests a switch to lower-quality beef. This is especially disappointing given the increased competition in the area, where you’d expect quality to improve, not decline—particularly at the Burnaby locations. It’s honestly a shame that I can no longer enjoy what used to be my favorite dishes, as the beef is now inedible for me.
