We went to this place for the second time to give it another chance but unfortunately it turned out to be half a disappointment again. Location 10/10, very slow service, very limited menu and some dishes unclear in quantity and price. Acceptable dishes but not even remotely justified the amount spent. Rating 7 (mostly for the location, furnished very well with great taste and for the sea view which always has its great charm).

At Boca Barranca in Marina Romea we found a relaxing atmosphere and an informal style, just how we like it. The chef's gourmet cuisine truly amazed us: delicious dishes with attention to detail. Unfortunately the service did not live up to expectations. A long delay in serving the yuzu sake (which arrived after the dessert) and the absence of the coffee, which we had to take at the counter without even an offer for the inconvenience, left a negative mark. The prices are decidedly exorbitant, especially considering the location (Marina Romea). We are neither in a restaurant recommended by the Michelin guide nor in a starred one. Furthermore, the receipt is not detailed, but only shows the total, which prevents you from checking the individual items and creates further disappointment. A real shame because the potential for an excellent experience is there.

Regarding the delay in serving the yuzu sake, we faced a small unexpected event which unfortunately affected the service times. However, we would have liked the ability to remediate in real time, especially if informed of the inconvenience during your visit. For the coffee, it was an involuntary mix-up. Our staff was ready to serve it to you at your table, and we apologize if this was not clearly communicated when you approached the counter. As for the receipt, sometimes it is issued compacted and we always bring the details to the table. In your case we printed it for you at the checkout together with the tax. Finally, we would like to remind you that your 45 minute late arrival has negatively influenced both the timing and logistics of the service itself.
