We have been coming to Blushing Blaricum for years during our walks from Laren. The fact that they offer healthier options (sugar-free syrup in the coffee!) as well as a surprising menu appeals to us. The old location (next to the AH) was always very pleasant, but the new location is even nicer. Our experience today was excellent. We had not made a reservation but were able to sit down immediately at 10:30 for a late breakfast. Despite the crowds, the service was good and the staff very helpful. Our drinks were on the table in no time, followed by two delicious breakfast dishes. Crushed avocado with an omelette and salmon for me and Eggcelent (scrambled eggs) for my partner. When we left again around 11:30 am it became busier and there was a short line of people waiting. Blushing Blaricum has been open for a few weeks now and I suspect that the few bad reviews below have to do with start-up problems. Something that almost every catering business has to deal with. Finally, some tips: Tip 1: if you cannot understand the inevitable start-up problems of a new catering business, then you simply should not come by immediately after the opening Tip 2: you can make a reservation on the Blushing website. This way you can avoid any queues and you can be sure that you will have a table.
