The Blue Lounge was a welcome surprise at Matterhorn Paradise! We were skiing up near Blauherd station and discovered this mountaintop site with a beautiful view. The food is delicious and for Switzerland - it was fairly priced! Several types of loaded french fries were amazing and a huge portion! Try the ones with basil mayo and arugula! The thin-crust pizza was fantastic and there were several choices. The drinks included beer, wine, and best of all some inventive coffee drinks! Try the coffee with the apricot liquor. Even better than the food and the prices was the service! Everyone was happy and willing to give us free tap water -- which is a big deal at the Matterhorn. Usually, they want to charge you 7-9 CHF (about $10 USD). The Blue Lounge is easy to find -- something that's also unusual at such a large ski area. And for your friends who are injured and can't ski --accessible by foot as it's a few feet from the lift that arrives at Blauherd station. Don't miss this restaurant when you're skiing at Mattehorn Paradise in Zermatt, Switzerland! Vegetarian options: Pizza. French Fries. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CHF 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
