Korean fried chicken was lights out. Wish it had just a bit more of a vinegar flavor, but I am being critical of an exceptional entree. Pork and kimchi gyoza was delicious, I could have eaten them until sick. The pork belly lettuce wraps were fire, wish the pork was cut a bit larger as to be more chewy and crispy but the chef probably has his reason for the small pieces. The kimchi served with the pork belly was phenomenal, i could have eaten a whole bowl by itself. Peanut sauce was also noteworthy. The octopus balls were delicious, but quite heavy. Texture was perfect, but wish there was more octopus in each ball. We tried the matcha cheesecake for dessert and finished the whole thing: it was a complex dish which required taking a bite with a little of everything on the plate to fully appreciate the level of intricacy in it. Sesame crust, matcha cheesecake, yuzu sauce, freeze dried blueberries that were crunchy, and fresh berries with matcha powder dusted about. Eat here. Had a really good dinner here, liked the asian fusion and atmosphere. Lots of kewpie mayo and bonito flakes. Would go back to try a few more things. Very busy place to, obviously pretty packed and waiters were a bit behind but not their fault. It's my first time coming here Block Kitchen and Bar Victoria. We order okonomiyaki pork belly, tokyo fries, ahi tuna yaki onigiri, Thai mushroom risotto, karaage chicken skewers, steam bao buns japabao dog, and ahi tuna tataki. We also order blocktails too. I would definitely come back here in the future for sure.
