I got severe food poisoning after eating chicken at Blanko, which lasted for days and required multiple doctors visits. After reading other reviews, it seems like this is a recurring issue. Very disappointing - I wasn’t going to leave a review, but felt the need to warn others. Service: Dine in

I had dinner with 3 friends. 2 of our party shared some food from the same plate (chicken) and later became very unwell. It appears they had contracted Salmonella and they are both still suffering as a consequence. The restaurant has been very unsympathetic and unwilling to accept any responsibility. Frankly I have been appalled by their behaviour and would never eat in this establishment again. We had many memorable dining experiences during our visit to South Africa but this was certainly not one of them. This restaurant needs to seriously focus upon its customer relations.

WARNING TO OTHER GUESTS
on January 27th 2023 at 18.30pm I dined with 4 of friends through 12 Apostles hotel in cape-town who made the reservation. Immediately an hour same evening i experienced food poisoning after which i was tested in London United kingdom it turned out to be salmonella, further salmonella side effect caused nerve damage in my right hand which going 2 months on i am still struggling with recovery of the nerve. another friend who had ho also experienced food poisoning as well had a delayed minor stroke 2 months on from salmonella.. Rotten chicken served was infected. Hope this serves as a warning to all other guests to check upon the poor hygiene of the restaurant as it is referred to as fine dinning.
