Right when we walked in, we were greeted by Dean and he was so welcoming and friendly. He suggested to sit outside and even though it was cold outside, the patio was warm and so comfortable, but also still inclusive with the restaurant with the open windows. Our server was Alex, but we call her Fabulous Alex, and was nothing short of that. She was fun, attentive, and I would go back just to be served by her. Shout out the team at Blanco! Loved it! Oh and the tacos, muy bien. I’ve been here a couple of times now and both times I was not impressed. The first time they were relatively new and the service was just awful. We had a male server in the solarium section who was more interested in chatting with the female servers than attending to his clients. Everything took so long. When it came time to get the bill we waited so long that we had to get the bartender to go find the guy to bring us the bill. The second time the place was empty but they still made us sit at the communal tables (with uneven legs) with another group of three. The female server didn’t know the menu and couldn’t answer our questions without going to ask someone else. Every time someone in either group at the communal table moved, the entire table would list because of how uneven the table legs were. The shrimp tacos were very good, every other taco was cold and terrible. I gave it a second chance and they dropped the ball again, so I will not be back. we have been coming to blanco cantina since it opened and this was our favourite visit yet. our waitress, alex, was absolutely amazing. our drinks and food came out super quick and were delicious as always. if you were thinking about trying blanco it is a 10/10 and i highly recommend!
