My husband and I were looking downtown for a restaurant open on a Sunday (an impossible task in Vernon, btw). We found the Black Bear Grill and we're so happy we chose it over a few others. The menu. blackbeargrill.ca The restaurant has a bar and table service. The decor is dark woods, brick walls (so it might be loud when it fills up) and hostess and waitress are well trained. The menu had two of our favourite fish so we chose the fish dishes. Miso Marinated Sable Fish and Apricot Dijon Salmon Filet over quinoa lentil pilaf and a cherry beurre blanc. Delish. Perfection in fish cooking and subtle flavours with the fish. We had wine, the entrees and a shared creme brûlée. The bill was $85 plus a tip. We'll be back.

Found this place reading Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed! The black stone eggs Benedict was delicious and the service was terrific! Would definitely go again.
