The servers was awesome, they made sure that we were well taken care off. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, food was great as my friends said, but me being allergic to dairy and being a vegetarian I didn’t really had a lot of choices to eat. So maybe they can make alittle more options for vegetarian people so we can feel the love even more. But all in all this restaurant is good if you wanna have a good time with friends or your love one. Cheers
What we will miss most about Thunder Bay. My wife and I have had a brief stay here in T Bay, and won't miss much about the place, except for Bistro One. We had to make a special trip here before we move back to Saskatoon just to enjoy it one more time.
The Duck Confit appetizer is worth the trip all by itself; it's magnificent and hearty and special. My wife had the mussels appetizer and just loved the sauce.
I was a bit disappointed in the lamb tonight, was served rare to my order of medium rare, but the extremely professional and fun waitress Brittany took it right back to be re-fired and it was ok the second time. My wife had the duck breast entree and it was perfectly done.
We ended up in "the loud room" with a table full of insurance people who made sure they were heard, so it was a bit less private / enjoyable ambiance than we are used to at Bistro One, but there's little can be done about that I suppose. They paid to be there too.
Desserts were lovely; sticky toffee pudding and the amaretto chocolate cheesecake were just spectacular.
Of all the nice restaurants we tried in our time here, Bistro One will always stick out as our very favourite. Spectacular service, wonderful food, and fair value.
