Nous sommes venus ce mardi entre amis. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil chaleureux et l'ambiance conviviale autant que nous nous sommes régalés avec les plats (frais et faits maison assurément). We came as a family (2 adults and 2 children) to the Bellechasse Café for New Year's Eve. A great first for us in this café-restaurant in St-Maur-des Fossés and I must say that it is a very nice discovery ! We arrived around 8 p.m. Very friendly and warm welcome and this was the case throughout the evening. The staff takes great care of us and ensures that we don't miss anything to have a wonderful evening, which is very pleasant. Very warm restaurant room, not very large but which makes the setting very friendly and human. The kitchen is "open" to the room, you can see the dishes being prepared behind a bay window which is quite nice. It feels like home, in our living room. We were in a small group which we appreciated. On our arrival and once settled, we were offered a glass of champagne and a soft drink for the children. We had the homemade petit fours to accompany it all. Then, the entrance buffet was installed. And there it was just wow!!!! Frankly, only high quality, delicious products and you should know that this buffet (see photos) was all you can eat!!! Needless to say, we had so much fun, it was such a treat!! Crab claws, shellfish, Madagascar shrimp, gray shrimp, St Vaast oysters, smoked salmon, homemade foie gras (everything is homemade by the way). Please note that my daughter is vegetarian and the Chef has prepared a large plate of raw vegetables and fried vegetables for her. She enjoyed it. We take our time, there is no time limit. The Chef adapts to us and it’s really great!! We make a little sign when we stop the entrance so we can throw the dishes into the kitchen. Choice between 2 dishes served at the table: Petit châteaubriand and its potato gratin or monkfish steak and its creamy risotto. We opt for Châteaubriand. And my daughter will have a plate with both sides since she doesn't eat meat or fish. The dish is served generously. I admit that I had perhaps eaten too many starters so I couldn't finish my gratin dauphinois which was nevertheless delicious. We really enjoyed ourselves. There was also a plate of cheeses and grapes, once again, very well served and for dessert a praline or chocolate log depending on taste. Again very generous portion. After all this feasting, we had to lose the weight lol so we headed upstairs where DJ Faith was waiting for us to dance the night away. Very nice room with benches throughout. Very good atmosphere even if there weren't many of us dancing but at least we had room, not like in other establishments where you can't even move because it's so crowded. The DJ is really great, the music sequences were perfect and the songs were very varied, there was really something for everyone! Impossible to be bored! We have counted down for the transition to 2025. Okay so here I have a small caveat... I think that for the next few years, we need to train in advance to expel the party favors from their box LOL We left around 2 a.m., the children being tired but I think if I'm not saying anything stupid, that it continued until the morning with the free breakfast. In summary, we had a great New Year's Eve. We ate like kings and queens, we danced and had fun, all with lovely and caring staff. Thank you also to the Chef for taking into account my daughter's specificity and for coming to our table to ensure that she enjoyed her plate ;-). I therefore recommend the Bellechasse Café which is a very nice discovery. Very happy new year 2025 to everyone!!! PS: I gave 5 stars to the cuisine, the service and the atmosphere but I don't know why, that doesn't take it into account! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
