I recently visited Barranco Restaurant and Bar and was thoroughly disappointed with the service. Despite choosing to sit in the outdoor area, it was nearly impossible to get any attention from the staff. Every time we wanted to order something, we were left waiting for an unreasonably long time. It was evident that all the staff were preoccupied with a large table of about eight people, completely neglecting the other guests. I approached someone who seemed to be a supervisor to express our concerns. They assured us that someone would be available near our table, but this promise was not fulfilled. When we tried to order more drinks shortly after, there was still no staff in sight. The overall lack of attention and disregard for customers made the experience absolutely terrible. Visited in September 2024 This was a fantastic experience. From arriving in this very unique restaurant we were surprised. The place is simply beautiful in its simplicity. You actually dine on little islands in a pool. Marble little islands that water is flowing past. Yeah, it sounds amazing because it is. The food is literally 5 star...not exaggerating at all... 5 STAR! The service is well, exemplary! They know their business is service and they know their product is food and they produce both flawlessly! We completely enjoyed everything we had from the first drink to the desert and cappuccino at the end. Bravo! It is not often that we walk away from a restaurant and look at each other and say...WOW That was Amazing! This place will do that! Is a must see while you are in Cairo! Thanks for a wonderful evening!!! Food was just ok, mediocre quality. Especially having to wait a very long time for everything. Sat here for almost 3 hours for some sushi and dessert. Staff was friendly but very poorly organised.
