Viewed from the outside, Restaurant Bird in Deventer makes a modest impression, but make no mistake, because once inside, the adventure begins. My girlfriend and I were invited for a birthday dinner, and we were received extremely professionally by the hostess. The interior is not flashy, but it is decorated with nice accessories, which clearly indicates attention and care for details. After a short explanation of the different menu options (three, four or five courses) we were served our aperitifs, including a beautifully prepared Seedlip gin and tonic. It was flavorful and fresh - the perfect way to start our dining experience. The journey through the menu was a feast of flavours. The vegetarian dim sum was particularly tasty, and the various small bites led us to the main dishes, all of which were delicious. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the perfectly balanced vegan options, while our host and hostess indulged in the meat variants. The price-quality ratio is unsurpassed here, especially considering the culinary drought in this price segment in the Twente region. From the countless people who had to leave disappointed because the restaurant was fully booked, we could clearly see that Bird is a hidden gem in Twente. I look forward to returning, either to try the new menu or to experience these wonderful meals once again. Special recognition is due to the hostess, whose training in Apeldoorn has brought her to star level. She is the epitome of professionalism. Restaurant Bird, thank you for an unforgettable evening. You left a lasting impression on me, and I will return without a doubt. To everyone reading this: if you are in Twente, this is an absolute must-visit! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
