An absolutely gem of a restaurant with the Owner and staff so friendly to this Englishman !! Staying across the road at the Atlantic Hotel I needed a change from hotel food and boy did I find some high quality traditional cooking and atmosphere at Banter Ruine The portions are extremely generous so I opted for a delicious lobster cream soup and a shrimp cocktail, which were both tasty freshly prepared and very good value. Topped off with a Weiss beer I was very happy sitting at the bar!! Thank you the whole team at Banter Ruine and especially the very friendly English speaking Owner I will back in 2026 to explore Wilhelmshaven further and eat here again xx.
