Man! Am I in luck or what?! As an avid foodie who possesses a palate with penchant for deeply flavoured, complex and exotic food. To have a new restaurant opening, just down the road from my house that offers some well executed and incredibly tasty Singaporean, Malaysian and Indonesian dishes was a God Send! After trying an impressive tasting Beef Randang with coconut rice take-out for lunch, a few days back. I decided to round-up the family and have a more elaborate dine-in meal at this potential winner. Our near faultless dinner served by a team of attentive and friendly staff in a bright, spacious and modern front-of-house was indeed a memorable winner, worthy of a few more return visits. The majority of dishes we ordered were spot on with a few home runs having amazing taste profiles that hit them out of the park! We ordered: - Tom Kha Gai, Coconut Chicken Soup (Very Good) - Charcoal grilled Malaysian Chicken Satay (Very Good, excellent dipping sauce) - Singapore Laksa ( Excellent and authentic! Incredible spicy shrimp base broth ) - Indonesian Beef Randang with Coconut Rice ( Not as good as previous version since its a new batch that hasn’t been rested ) - Thai Fried rice with Shrimp ( Excellent wok-hay, well seasoned and garnished ) - Singapore Black Pepper and Butter Tiger Shrimp ( Tonight’s hands-down winner! Sweet, crunchy prawns. Killer sauce. Finger licking good! ) - Beverages of Thai Iced Milk Tea and/or Coffee Only disappointment we found was that, portion sizes tend to be on the smallish and stingy side based on the relatively high price point they are charging......though shortfalls were mainly compensated by the deliciousness of the food. Final verdict?! Either General MacArthur “ I shall return ‘’ or Terminator “ I’ll be back “!!....Take your pick!! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
