Vous aurez de bons souvenirs de ce lieu car il est connu pour avoir un bon service et une équipe aimable, toujours prête à vous aider. Cet endroit propose des repas à un prix démocratique. The decor is stunning. Came on a rainy Sunday morning and it did not appear get busy until closer to noon. The truffle pide pie is fantastic and I would definitely order it again. The sausage shakshuka has great flavour but is far too runny for my liking. Coffee gets served in giant glass mugs. Babel is a nice place to grab brunch on a weekend morning without having to wait in line. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30

We dined at Babel for the first time during Summerlicious 2022 and were very impressed with the food, ambience and service. Drinks: Cucumber Salad, Maison Festive, Nimbus and French 75 Appetizers: Babel bread (extra $ from regular menu), vegan empanada, beef kibbeh Mains: Sujuk kebabs, roasted stuffed eggplant Desserts: Fruit salad, semolina pudding We were promptly seated in the private dining area which was lovely and quiet which we appreciated. The decor is sophisticated, classy and warm. Loved the appetizers and particularly the empanada which was a nice contrast of savoury pastry and sweet potato. The sujuk kebabs were a tad salty but also flavourful and reminiscent of the fare in Turkey. Enjoyed the roasted stuffed eggplant with shishito peppers and plenty of spices. The rice pilaf was the perfect accompaniment. This dish also reminded me of travels around the Mediterranean. I loved the sweet milk/semolina pudding because it was light and not too sweet with just the right amount of nuttiness from the pistachios. It was a great contrast to the punchy, flavourful main dishes. The cocktails were all on point and so beautiful to look at! I enjoyed the subtlety of the cucumber salad cocktail but the Maison Festive was a lovely sweet concoction with apricot juice. Finally, I have to offer sincere kudos to our server, Brando, who was polite, professional and amazingly attentive. Thank you for a wonderful evening and the drink recommendations! We’ll definitely be back to try out the regular menu and look forward to another great experience! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $80–90

A friend and I went to Babel on Thursday evening. It is all thanks to Open Table, and NO thanks to the gentlemen maitre d' (I wish I took his name). Since we work in the area, we went to the restaurant in person on Wednesday to get a reservation, and he said he did not have a table for 2 at 5pm Thursday. He went on to say that we need to book 3 1/2 weeks in advance. Later I decided to try Open Table, and immediately got a reservation for 2 at 5. We saw the maitre d' when we returned for our meal, and he was extremely cold and rude and let his co-worker show us in to our table. I am not sure why he was not interested in our business, as the establishment had only 5 tables occupied until 6:20. Our waiter was phenomenal, but had it not been for my preserverance we would not know what the establishment was like. I don't think I will ever go again, as I will not patronize a restaurant that has front line workers who discriminate against their potential patrons!!!!! Interestingly enough, when my friend and I went back to our work function, there was a Babel Restaurant Gift certificate up for silent auction. Needless to say we did not bid on it. It's unfortunate that we will never go again as the waiter and our meal were quite good. We just couldn't get over the fact that the restaurant was empty and we had been turned away the day before! Big mistake!
