Nous avons dîné dans ce restaurant. Le bâtiment est magnifique et la vue aussi.Nous avons pris à la carte avec entre plat et dessert. Pain délicieux fait sur place. Beaucoup de saveurs et de créativité. L’agneau était un des meilleurs que nous ayons mangé. Bons vins également. Une belle adresse.

I was reluctant to leave or write a review to begin with. I slept on it and decided I wanted to share my experience at Bak restaurant from dinner lastnight. The location and atmosphere was trendy and cool. The food was ok, presented in a beautiful way, but lacked creative or exciting flavors, and was one note through the entire tasting. Vegetables sweetened with fruit or smoked and accompanied by sauces that weren’t necessary or didn’t make sense with the dish. No wow factor or flavors. Just small portions of vegetables presented in different ways. My wife’s main dish was a grilled turnip. Yup a turnip. Textures of the very vegetarian forward menu was another point. A photo showing the slimy unpleasant texture of cold smoke eggplant with raw sliced zucchini on top is shared with my review. The service was great at first then far too hard to get anyone’s attention for a second glass of wine. Dinner ended with a dark chocolate truffle. My review stands as nothing special or exciting from the chef. Lots of vegetables cooked well but not a lot of flavors that would make it worth a visit back or the prices paid per person to eat vegetarian which was not our dinner intent for the night. We both told our server we eat meat and that’s why I was served duck. My wife is pescatarian and she requested fish not a turnip as her main. So the owner trying to imply we asked for the vegetarian options is incorrect. The server didn’t listen or pay attention. That’s part of the problem we had with service here. Hi Justin, really sorry to hear that your night didn't go as you had hoped and expected. We do want to note, that only serve our vegetarian menu to people who specifically ask for this.
