Service is always courteous here. Azyun used to serve enticing dishes that felt fresh. I especially liked their take on tartare. However it would be unfair to rate them for something they don't have. The prices are still pretty decent – we got the set meal which is a great deal. I could tell that they only had one cook in the kitchen who had to expedite orders when I got the food. The brussel sprouts were cooked in a manner that had them wilt and it was oversaturated with sauce. In prior visits the sprouts were lightly crisp and the bitterness complimented the sauce which was applied moderately. The eggplant dish was simply fried too much and it was doused in oil - each bite had a burst of oil and we couldn't taste the vinaigrette. The chilled noodles simply tasted like cold noodles without the sweetness of the soya sauce or the little kick from the chilis. It was fragrant bc it was only seasoned with sesame oil. My Laksa curry was underwhelming - the soup was very light - Laksa is a heavy broth that's fragrant and rich. The herbs and aromatics paired with the rich creaminess have you coming back for more. However mine was flat, light, lukewarm, and not that seasoned. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I heard that Azyun has changed into a noodle bar concept and wanted to give it a try. I had the 2 for $40 meal which included good fried chicken and eggplant that was decent. Unfortunately, the two soup noodles were the worst soup noodles I’ve had in years. The broths were overly salty and the noodle that came with the beef satay tasted so awful. I couldn’t even finish it and I am someone that always finishes their meals. I was left very disappointed and not once did the waitress come by to ask us if we were finding everything okay. We upgraded the drink to a yuzu sunrise and it was insanely sour ! I had to dilute it with the tap water on the table. The only good thing was the fried chicken option I selected. Azyun Restaurant is located on Markham Main Street. The cozy atmosphere and delicious food make it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The menu features a variety of dishes inspired by Asian cuisine, with a focus on fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Some of the more notable dishes would be the truffled fried rice and the pho spiced beef tartare. Azyun Restaurant has something for everyone. The attentive staff and welcoming ambiance create the perfect setting for a casual weekend lunch (noon to 3pm) or a special dinner. We really enjoyed the set menu for four at Azyun Restaurant. It was just right for us, satisfying our appetites without being too much. We are already looking forward to our next visit, and this time we plan to try some of the other dishes on the menu, including the Pandan Ube Basque Cheesecake. Seriously, don't miss out on the opportunity to dine at Azyun Restaurant when you're in the vicinity – it promises to be an unforgettable experience.
