I recently visited Ayam Zaman Restaurant in Coquitlam, and I must say, the food was fantastic. After a tough day, the delicious dishes truly lifted my spirits. From the first bite, I could tell that the chefs put a lot of care and attention into each dish. It was exactly what I needed to turn my day around. Highly recommend for a comforting and satisfying meal!

A Sparkling Gem in Coquitam that should be on your dining list. The vast menu highlights Syrian and Lebanese cuisine in a fairly new restaurant nestled close to Ikea. The portions are great and not skimpy like others who cheat you out of a full stomach and charge high prices. The decor is fabulous highlighting the Middle East, and this place is a must see. We had meat manooshie, kidbeh, mixed meat platter, rice, hot pita bread, humous, sausages and more. This was a dining treat that my Lebanese-Canadian 25 year marriage spouse adored. We went in July 2023 and told others about it and they'll hit it soon. The flavors danced in your mouth, and the cultlery and more were from the Syrian culture. Our waitresses were friendly and attentive as we dined about 7pm on a Saturday.

We skipped dessert as we were full like a bear before hibernation, and when we got home we did not raid the pantry nor fridge unlike other eateries that disappoint with costs and poor quantities. My only complaint is, that they should have pictures on their menu or interactive photos of their food dishes on their multiple television sets to showcase what their foods are and what they look like. I would recommend, like we did, to look at their online website and menu and take photos of foods you want to order as not everyone different from that culture will know what they ordered despite the descriptions in the menu. Otherwise, they did a fantastic job that out shines most dining experiences. We'll add Ayam Zaman to our favorite list with Afghan Chopan (Sry), Jerusalem Grill (Langley), Avishan (Langley), Pasagard (Coquitlam), and Kebabji Grill (Sry). This list herein are Persians, Lebanese, Syrian and Afghanistan Foods that will give you the wow factor while not draining your wallet. We found Avishan costly but it is still a good place but my rating for Ayam Zaman is 9.5/10 and Afghan Chopan 9/10 and all our favorites have been dined in for over 15 years. The food is healthy, ethnic flavors and more to their immeasurable credit and they can teach others how to do it right, truth hurts. Bravo for the chef, owner, staff and a sparkling clean eatery that shines in many ways.
