My flight to Catania was delayed, so when I got to Syracuse all the restaurants were closed. Luckily this place was still open, so decided to give it a try. Didn’t know what to expect, but it turned out quite nice. I had the horse meat + cheese sandwich, with tomato as supplement. It tasted quite good, the horse meat was quite chewy. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Paninoteca Antonio e Daniele with my wife and daughter. We indulged in their classic and traditional horse meat sandwiches, and I must say, the food was absolutely fantastic. The panino with horse meat was just as delicious as I remembered from my younger days when I used to visit once a week. Having lived abroad for over 14 years, it was a nostalgic and heartwarming experience to return to this beloved spot. The quality of the food remains top-notch, and the flavors brought back so many wonderful memories. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was excellent, making our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Paninoteca Antonio e Daniele to anyone looking to savor authentic and delicious horse meat sandwiches. I look forward to my next visit and hope it won’t be too long before I can enjoy another delightful panino con carne e svizzero. This place is usually very crowded at night and I felt a little bit overwhelmed trying to order since I don’t speak much Italian but we finally passed by before the rush started. There is another panini place close by that has a similar menu but I have to say, this place was much better. The patatine here is nice and crispy and we had the sandwich with sausage & cheese and it wasn’t greasy or salty at all, delicious! Must try if you are in the area!
