The menu has about 5-7 options for each course. We were served bread and whipped butter and went straight to mains. All dishes were well presented, we ordered 2 chicken roulades, a beef fillet and lamb shank. The chicken was a hit on the table as it had a veloute. The beef cooked medium but was dry as there was a drizzle of jus, served with 2 minute crumbed pieces of fried bone marrow, a ravioli and 3 mini fondant pototoes. Not a flavour packed dish. The lamb shank was also sauceless and therefore dry.
We brought in our own cake as it was a birthday, please take note of cake corkage of R350. Cake was served but no orders of tea/coffee or even drinks top up were offered. Service was slow, even though there were hardly any patrons.
For the prices of the meals and beverages, I did expect more but it was just average. For a 5 star boutique hotel restaurant there was also no manager present on the floor.
