It's a typical hiker's place to eat after exertion. Large portions but the quality ranges from very good to not quite ok. Generally satisfied. Price performance lags a little. Nevertheless, hats off to the organization for feeding so many people within a short period of time. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Five of us were in the Ammenegger Stuba this afternoon. Our first impression: Rustic, cozy, pleasant atmosphere, to feel good. There are lots of funny sayings on the walls, the tables are tidy and clean and there is seating for couples, families, small and large groups. The waitress does her job absolutely well and is not at a loss for a joke. We are greeted immediately and served quickly. The drinks arrive promptly. The meal takes a while, but is within a reasonable time frame. Now about the food: The children's menu, the classic burger and the grill plates are tip-top. Decent portions, generously garnished and very tasty. Finally, a (very) big downer: The onion roast looks good, but it's a disaster! I've eaten a lot of onion roasts and the demands weren't extremely high. But what ends up on the plate as “roast roast” is an imposition! A scrap of meat, full of flax, fat and tough as a shoe sole! The side dishes were ok. Unfortunately, this meal really spoils the overall impression and we will definitely not eat in the Ammenegger Stuba again. A pity! Thanks for your review. If you had complained straight away, we would have simply made a new piece of meat.
