We had a great evening from start to finish! We arrived and were greeted warmly but coolly. There were five of us and we also had 2 children with us, 9 and 12. The menu was varied, well thought out and (also important) very tasty (that's what we Brandenburgers say...). We thought it was great how varied the vegetables were presented, meat and fish were also really tasty, but you didn't even need them. A group member easily received a vegetarian menu following a prior request. The beverage accompaniment was great with and without alcohol, the explanations about the food were always presented in the right way and in a very friendly manner. I hate it when people talk to you for hours about every dish in a star restaurant. That was pleasant here and not the case at all, everything was fine. Even the children's conclusion was great, a great introduction to the foodie world. The location of the restaurant is also great, on the water and in an idyllic setting. Thank you for this great evening! We will come back and recommend this elegant, cool restaurant to every visitor to Brandenburg. Vegetarian options: You can easily get a vegetarian menu, just ask nicely beforehand. Kid-friendliness: The children were treated very well and warmly. I didn't expect that and I was very happy. June 2024. - The three of us were able to enjoy the excellent, very enjoyable meal in the Alte Überfahrt. From the starter to the dessert we were completely thrilled. The restaurant management explained a lot in a very friendly manner without intruding on our privacy. Werder/Havel near Potsdam is a beautiful place that is further enhanced by this restaurant. The location of the hotel is very inviting, the ambience in the restaurant invites you to linger. An all-round successful visit. Highly recommended for that special occasion. Nice restaurant right on the water. The service was nice and friendly, unfortunately there was no information or recommendations about the menu or drinks. Very unfortunate. However, the well-crafted menu lacked creative sophistication in terms of taste. The starter was shockingly flat - a little more flavor ingenuity wouldn't have hurt. Individual (main) products were simply lost in taste in the mass of ingredients used. Craft is important, but taste still comes first when it comes to food. The menu definitely wasn't bad in terms of taste, but it was never really outstanding. Relying solely on the craftsmanship and the products used is not enough for a gourmet restaurant. Three stars may not be enough, but four or more stars would simply be too much given the Alte Überfahrt's own standards. Service: Dine in Price per person: €100+ Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
