It's really a shame that the misunderstanding that happened in our restaurant ruined your stay. You have a distorted memory of what happened in the restaurant and this is what really happened: After paying the restaurant bill, you got up and went to the bar with €10.00 in hand (perhaps that's why you were convinced you had paid for the first drink). Since you were still sitting at the restaurant table, the bartender told you to order at the table and pay to the head waiter. The waiter brought you the drink and the bill, which was not paid. Afterwards you ordered 2 more brandies. When the owner brought you the bill of 4 brandies you made a big scene. In our restaurant we have a computerized system for orders and accounting, when a customer asks to pay, a regular receipt is issued and the bill resets to zero. The owner tried to explain it to you, but you were so altered that you didn't want to listen to reason. Mrs. McArdle said you were honest people, but no one said or thought otherwise. To put an end to the awkward situation, was only charged for the second order. Maybe the waiter with the bun (no ponytail) thought that €10.00 was the tip? The night before you had bought the younger waiter a drink and had forgotten to pay for it. Which we didn't point out to you. We are sorry that you did not inform us that the room was not to your liking, we could have shown you gladly some alternative rooms. I don't know how much you paid at the travel office for the room without balcony, the flight, the transfer to/from the airport and the English-speaking guide on site. I would like to assure you that in terms of pricing we are not in any way higher than our competitors on similar level of accommodation and services provided. It is sad to hear that you did not like the buffet breakfast provided in the restaurant. Most of our guests commend the quality of the buffet highly. In addition, many guests are surprised to find such a rich buffet included in the room price in a two-stars hotel! The ecological operators are asleep at 03.30 am! The glass collection operates three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:00 to 9:00. With best regards Patrizia Civettini Hotel ManagerMore
