I arrived to visit Bezau and to witness the return of the cows to their Winter Farms in the villages far below. The Alpe Sammere and the Alpe Stongen were not reviewed in my Musical Travel Diary adventures to see preparations for the "Alpabtrieb". I was welcomed at Sammere Alpe after my musical hiking tour along the misty Panorama Weg with Buddy. He is my singing guide dog. The tiny Alpe Sammere kindly rewarded his singing with so many Tourists with part of their Alpe pig's last Molke soup supper (before the traditional "Schwein Schlact"). I ate their wonderful cheese and later drank the local Egger Bier from Bregenzerwald with Matthias at the Alpe Stongen.. I recommend the ride in Bezau Cable Car and these friendly Alpe that were preparing to bring their cows down for Winter. They were preparing their garlands and their special ornamental cow bells. The cowmen were preparing traditional gerarium and rosemary sprigs to stick in in their felt hat bands. Alpine traditions that were music to my Musical eardrums and to my Buddy's exhausted voice! I thank so many of the tourist hikers for singing with him to highlight Musicians plight in the Pandemic. It was truly charming experience that showed French, German and of course Anglo-Irish Tourists a tiny glimpse of Alpine life on the High Alpe. Best Wishes and a genuine five stars (not some cheating fake reference from someone who never visits the Alps). Robert Elwes. The Choclate Mountain Chronicles. (Thank you).
