Après avoir visité Campbell House Museum, venez dans ce bar. Les cuisines canadienne et française sont bien préparées à Alobar Downtown. Manger un dorade savoureux s'avère être une excellente expérience ici. Si vous allez à ce lieu, mangez un tarte aux bananes fascinant.

Quite overpriced for what the food is worth. But the alo burger and fries are good. The pasta here is nothing special. Raspberry Mille Feuille is big and surprisingly good. Weekend nights they have live jazz which can get a bit loud but overall enjoyable experience. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $60–70

A bit underwhelming, the service was top notch. Very attentive and friendly. The prices are reasonable, but the quality left something to be desired. I had the veal cutlet and majority of the cutlet was very tough and difficult to chew. The flavour was very good, and presentation was nice. The apps were tasty and the broccolini was excellent. We rang in New Year’s Eve at Alobar Downtown with our two kids, and the entire experience was absolutely flawless. From the moment we walked in, everything clicked — the warm and friendly hostess, an exceptional front-of-house team, great music, perfect table next to the open kitchen, and a lively yet comfortable ambience. The service was smooth, professional, and genuinely welcoming, especially impressive on such a busy night. The food was outstanding across the board. We enjoyed the burger with au jus and fries, a perfectly cooked 24 oz ribeye, bacon-wrapped filet mignon, butter pasta for our youngest, calamari, broccolini that was crisp with a subtle Asian-style dressing, and mashed potatoes that were so delicious we honestly wished we’d ordered two. Not a single bite was left — every dish delivered. It was nice seeing Owner & Chef Patrick Kriss on the floor, running a very tight ship. Given that Alo has multiple locations and it being NYE, I was genuinely surprised (and impressed) to see him during service. It reminded me of the one time, many years ago, when I was lucky enough to see Chef Daniel Boulud in action at Daniel in NYC. That level of presence speaks volumes. As someone who is also in hospitality, I know firsthand how difficult it is to execute a flawless service — especially on a high-pressure night like NYE — and this team absolutely nailed it. To top it all off, when it came time for dessert, our server surprised us by saying that Chef Patrick would be sending all three desserts on the house for us to try. An incredibly generous and thoughtful gesture. He even mentioned that we could reach out to Chef Patrick directly via Instagram for future reservations if we ever had trouble — a personal touch that truly stood out. Bravo to the entire Alobar Downtown team. 10/10 experience, and we will definitely be back — not only here, but to try Alo's other locations as well. Highly recommended. p.s. photo's don't do justice.
