My 15 yr old daughter and spent the last 4 nights here of our 16 day trip to Italy. John and his family have an interesting story and they were incredibly gracious and helpful hosts. Breakfast was expansive and delicious. The restaurant, with amazing views, is highly recommended. 10 min walk to the port. I hope our paths cross again.

Could not ask for a better place to stay if you are looking to visit Positano. John and his staff are excellent, attentive and helpful hosts, always willing to assist you with any questions.
The hotel is ideally located with only a short walk to the beach, cafes and shopping and also to bus stop for traveling elsewhere on the Amalfi coast.
We stayed as a family of four in the family room, very comfortable and the views from the balcony needs to be seen to be believed

Highly recommend this Hotel in Positano. Ideally located with exquisite views sweeping across the coast. The rooms are clean, and the beds comfortable in keeping with the opulent style of its history. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful with anything you may need. Typical Italian breakfast on offer to start your day. Would definitely come back and stay at Albergo California and would recommend to friends and family coming to Positano.
