Pâtes trop cuites, pizza ordinaire. Pour le prix, ça ne vaut pas le détour. Il y a plusieurs autres bons restaurants italiens à Montréal. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Al dente trattoria has gone through a few owners over the last 15 years let's see current one seems stable. They're a BYOB, bring your own booze AKA wine or beer and they have a decent choice in menu. they used to be an exquisite Italian restaurant and now basically there an okay Italian restaurant so OK gets three stars. We actually has to set her own table cuz he didn't even bring up some bread place or a nice Or a fork when we got the pizza there was a pizza nice so we each has to ask for a fork. Another hand that kept filling up her water quite quickly. It's a great location in the monkland village and on monkland Avenue. It has outside sitting or seating and the endures I'm not sure it's as big as it used to be originally. They're exceptionally busy with steakhouse a lot of pizzas for flying us to you the door. However not putting out the bread plates to bring us the bread and the bread was basically a bad guess almost not slice sufficiently and it was just room temperatures they couldn't bother to warm it up a bit I think the butter was a little old. just a bread place and not setting the table for us really really bothered me about they took our menu and brought the food but they didn't set the table we have to ask for accessories and I got my own place and napkin and fork from other tables. Lot of take our business and not taking care of the clients inside! I was actually disappointed and insulted. How could they not know you should take care of your clients inside!? The pizzas we're okay and the dough is pretty good but they didn't have much on them. And they were like $18 pizzas for 11 in or more... I say it's good for a fun outing but don't expect like excellent cuisine or fine cuisine or really good Italian. Basically expect just average not anything to write home about Italian food. But they work hard and there's lots of people in the staff and I recognize a fellow that being there for years and I said so and he said he'd be in there for many many many many years did I last with him saying it wasn't that many years let's certainly a long time. He didn't set the table nobody did! Otherwise they would have a 4-star just for the quick service and a quick cook pizza. Actually how the hell do you cook a pizza. Quickly? You don't... But they did. So basically $18 and up for a pizza plus tax plus tips for an 11 inch pizza with not a lot of things on top of it..I guess I've been spoiled by other Italian restaurants that match the price but do a lot better elsewhere and all the other categories. They rushed to take out pizza quite quickly so I'm sure that's the people receiving their quick orders for happy. But they rushed us to the service was very fast like rushing at the rest of the things. You just can't rush a good pizza. The dough is so since must be in cooked in seconds and I haven't seen green peppers Anna's Pizza in years. Montreal has red and yellow and orange and especially red sweet peppers. The green peppers tasted very what should I say chlorophyll like... Like a green plant, if you know what I mean? If you want to go out during the summer time and sit on a small terrace watching the traffic in front of you or sit inside with your friends pay a little bit more than it's worth and bring your own wine and have a great time with pretty good service I must admit send this is a good place to go and they've been around for quite a long time. And for any restaurants the last this long is quite some miracle. So kudos for them but sister people's tables put out the cutlery and place gosh darn it! If you bring them bread maybe you should warm it up? Make sure the butter isn't on the edge of turning and put us bread plates discuss three and napkins as we had to get it from the tables nextdoor ourselves! right there it's a no-go for me so three out of five is generous. really too bad because I'm sure they can do a whole lot better... if you just starts to go with the crowd drink a bunch of beer and wine and have some food and just pay a little bit too much for mediocre but you'll have decent service.
