There are various reasons why a person usually goes out to eat. For this review I say I should group them into two different "categories": there are those who go out to gorge themselves on good food, and those who go out to try an experience. A Sunday at the ayce with friends - we don't expect much from the food but we hope to eat a lot of it and that it tastes "good". But if the price exceeds 50 euros for one person, in my opinion we need to start being more strict: now going out to a restaurant must be an experience and no longer an excuse to gorge yourself. The price of the €170 dinner should make it clear that the experience I am about to have must be unique and refined... And after having thrown myself into the experience of "Al Chiar di Luna" I can say that the experience was certainly """unique """, but certainly not beautiful. Let's start by saying that the New Year's Eve dinner took place inside the structure, where we were greeted by various rather mediocre tastings and a tray of... Breads? Which already gives us a taste of the evening: cold and elastic zeppoline, clearly from the day before yesterday, 2 breadsticks (literally) and some really badly made pieces of bread because not only could you smell and taste the bread dough , ergo the leavening was almost absent - but the bread itself was still raw, with the crumb in the middle still soft and chewy. I remember once again, dear readers, the sweet price of 170 euros. The music starts shortly after and, thanks to the great engineering work of the room, the noise is so loud that you have to shout to speak at the table. There are also those who take a sweet puff and throw that cloud of aromas at you that makes you rise above the raw appetizers, and the poor little ones who still don't know how to walk begin to scream for mercy at the assault of senses that they don't have. they wanted to be part of it, and it is precisely here that they reach the pinnacle of the evening: the fish salad arrives and while I try to taste a piece of extremely bitter squid, I get that hit of nicotine in my nose and nothing. For those who already know, half the taste of the dish is actually given by smell, and in such situations you cannot "enjoy" a dish. I repeat one last time. 170 euros, for a culinary experience that is not ironically worse than the Mac - because at least at the Mac I've never found the guy who starts vaping nearby without being called out. This shows that "In the Moonlight" the experience was really careless. I would also add that I don't even have who knows what nose and that in truth I also have a blocked nostril so it amazes me how the cloud of aromas that was stationary in the room for about 40 minutes has not yet been captured and addressed by the staff and that indeed, the vapers continue with their ritual and don't care about the waiters who come and go I get up and leave, because at this point it's better to be out in the cold than inside in a racket worthy of one of the circles of hell.
