How can you CLAIM to be a Greek restaurant and not have a TRUE GYRO. You use Donaire meat. That's an insult to the Gyro.

Great food, especially for a downtown spot. Prices are good, very easy to get lunch here for under 10$. Chicken is very juicy and flavorful, and the tzatziki tastes fresh.

Lunch hour came and I walked over to Scotia Place food court to grab my regular at my "usual spot". Suddenly I realized I didn't have cash and although I could probably get away with a "pay you next time", I decided this might be the higher powers telling me to try something new - The Greek Kitchen it was. I gravitated towards the Mushroom Swiss burger for two reasons, first being that I love most mushroom burgers and the sound of it made me think, "is it possible I could find a place that serves a similar mushroom burger to Burger Barons, so close to my work??". And second reason was because they have a giant sign in their store front that reads "Mushroom Swiss Burger" in impossible to miss red font. The burger came with a side of fries and before I could ask for it the friendly woman at the cash register asked if I'd like gravy and I ordered that as well. The food was prepared in about 2 minutes, so a bit of a wait for a food court spot but not a huge deal (imo). The burger itself wasn't the prettiest but I've had great burgers that weren't pretty either, unfortunately in this instance the burger wasn't that great. The patty was very clearly of the frozen variety which is fine (for a food court spot) but it lacked flavor and was quite dry. The bread was very thick, dense and out of ratio with the thinness of the burger patty. The mushrooms were minimal and the sauce wasn't anything special (also not enough given the large amount of bread). The fries were fries, salted liberally (which I like) although the gravy was a tad too watery to the point it didn't really stay on the fries when trying to dip them. Overall, I really wanted this place to be a hidden gem I've been missing out on but I'll likely stick to my "usual spot" going forward. One last thing to note was that the staff (I'm guessing are the owners) were extremely friendly.
